Takeoff, a rapper from the group Migos, was fatally shot outside of a bowling alley in Texas early in the morning on November 1.
Before the shooting, Takeoff was at a bowling alley with fellow Migos member, Quavo, and 40 to 50 others. The party ended at around 1 AM, but carried over until the shooting. The shooting took place at 810 Billiards and Bowling, located in Huston. Officers initially heard reports of the shooting at 2:40 AM. Quavo was still present at the time of the shooting.
Security officers were at the event and heard the shots fired, but did not see who pulled the trigger. Officers reported that at the scene, they saw a large crowd and a man with a gunshot wound (Takeoff) who was pronounced dead on sight. It is still unclear what led to the shooting, but surveillance cameras are being investigated.
