The autopsy for Bobbie Jean Carter has been concluded, and authorities are currently awaiting the results of toxicology tests. This comes just days after the unexpected death of Aaron and Nick Carter’s sister in Florida, as exclusively reported by RadarOnline.com.
Bobbie Jean’s untimely demise was disclosed by her grieving mother, Jane Carter, over the weekend, adding to the profound loss she has already experienced with the deaths of two of her children since 2012.
A representative for the Florida medical examiner, speaking exclusively to RadarOnline.com, stated, “Our office conducted the autopsy, and we are awaiting the family to make arrangements to have her released from our facility.” The representative also mentioned that autopsy reports, including the toxicology results indicating the presence of drugs or alcohol, may take four to five months or longer to complete.
The troubled 41-year-old was discovered unresponsive in her home’s bathtub and was subsequently rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was pronounced dead, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office, as reported by TMZ. Notably, her brother Aaron, 34, tragically drowned in his Los Angeles bathtub in 2022 under similar circumstances involving the use of a generic brand of Xanax and inhaling aerosol spray.
As previously detailed by RadarOnline.com, Bobbie Jean passed away while under strict probation after pleading guilty to drug possession and petty theft nearly two months prior. Following a shoplifting arrest in June 2023, where she was found in possession of fentanyl, she was sentenced to two years’ probation, fined $1,464, and required to provide a DNA sample. Her driver’s license was also revoked for six months.
The family speculates that Bobbie Jean, who worked as a wardrobe stylist and makeup artist during Aaron’s early 2000s tours, died due to cardiac arrest. She had also appeared on the family’s reality series, House of Carters, which aired for one season in 2006.
Bobbie Jean leaves behind an 8-year-old daughter named Bella, who is currently under the care of a family member. Amid the multiple tragedies, Mama Carter intends to lay her daughter to rest in their home state of Florida. Her daughter Leslie passed away in 2012 from a drug overdose.
Expressing her shock and grief, Mama Carter told TMZ, “I am in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean, and I will need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” referencing the tragic losses of her son Aaron and daughter Leslie.
