Billy Eichner Slams Homophobes for Not Showing Up to “Bros,” his New Gay Romcom

by eyesonhollywood

Billy Eichner, director and costar of new LGBT romcom “Bros,” is not happy with his opening weekend box office.

The director took to Twitter to share his frustration with the numbers. He said in one tweet that he watched the movie with a theater audience during opening weekend, and they cried, laughed, and described the atmosphere as “magical.”

In another tweet, he said that whoever isn’t a “homophobic weirdo” should go watch the movie. Perhaps Eichner needs to realize that sexuality is not a deciding factor in whether people want to go watch a film or not- it is box office weekend for Avengers Endgame, after all. Some replies to his tweet echoed the same sentiment- users saying “if the movie doesn’t look interesting to me, why should I see it?” and “My plans for tonight are based on my availability and interests. Not your career. OKaaay?”
