Megan Thee Stallion Sues Her Record Label for $1 Million

by eyesonhollywood
27 year old Megan Pete, known professionally as Megan Thee Stallion, claims her record label is depriving her of hard-earned money.

On a now-deleted post from February 2022, the rapper claimed that she had never seen any of the money from her label 1501. 1501 is owned by a former MLB player, Carl Crawford. Megan has had a rough history with her label, suing them time and time again to allow her to release songs outside of their contract.

Earlier this year, Megan released a 21-track song compilation called Something for Thee Hotties, which she says should qualify as a record under the label’s definition. By that definition, she only owes one more album under her contract. However, 1501 does not view this song compilation as an album under their recording agreement- something which they let her know two months after its October 2021 release.
