Who knew Bernie Madoff’s scamming capabilities could be rivaled only by a Real Housewife.

Jen Shah, 49, was sentenced to 6.5 years in prison followed by 5 years of supervised release on January 6, 2023. She was ordered to report to prison on February 17 by Judge Judy Stein in a New York City courtroom. Though she pleaded guilty, stating “I knew this was wrong. I knew many people were harmed and I’m so sorry.”

During the trial, Shah’s attorney Priya Chauhdry listed all the good things Shah had recently done before being slammed by Judge Stein. The judge did not take into account Shah’s role on The Real Housewives when carrying out justice. “People should not confuse, and this court is not going to confuse, the character she plays on an entertainment show with the person I have before me.”
