The gulf between Kanye West and his soon-to-be ex-wife Kim Kardashian continues to grow as Ye appears to have unfollowed her and the rest of her family on Twitter. Kim however still follows Kanye on Twitter.
This is the latest event in the aftermath of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian announcing their divorce. The two were married for almost seven years until earlier this year when Kim filed for divorce back in February.
The lead up to the divorce was turbulent until fairly recently, where the two managed to reconnect and establish some sort of relationship. The pair have remained cordial during these proceedings and have been staying out of the limelight for the most part.
According to sources close to the pair, the divorce was in the making for a long time with several incidents leading up to it.
According to an article on Page Six, the rapper was sick and tired of the Kardashian family’s lifestyle and no longer wanted anything to do with them. Apparently, he considered the family’s reality show to be “unbearable.” He once humorously called Kris Jenner, “Kris Jong-Un” in a Twitter rant.
West has also made things difficult for Kim Kardashian as his well-known mental state has been the source for many difficulties.
Kanye West is well known for his erratic behavior that comes as a result of his bipolar disorder and this has been well documented. From the infamous moment at the VMAs where Kanye West rushed the stage interrupting Taylor Swift’s speech to the strange 2020 presidential campaign.
During that campaign, West gave out many speeches on the trial with one in particular where he hysterically yelled out how he “almost killed [his] daughter” when talking about a deeply personal conversation he had with his wife. Other strange moments include saying that slavery was a “choice” and suing the state of Wisconsin in order get on the ballot.
In the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Kim opens up and gives her reasons for divorce to her sisters, saying “He deserves someone that can go support his every move and go follow him all over the place and move to Wyoming. I can’t do that…”
In a tearful response, Kim tells her mom “I’ve lived up to my expectations and achieved 10 times more than I ever thought was humanly possible, but I don’t have a life to share that with…”
Despite their personal issues, Kim still wished West a happy birthday on Instagram with a caption saying “Love U for Life!”
