The latest update on Britney Spears’ conservatorship case is in, and it’s big. Jodi Montgomery, Britney’s personal conservator has filed a motion to remove Jamie Spears from his position of co-conservator of the estate. What’s even better, is that according to Jodi Montgomery, Britney’s doctors also agree that Jamie Spears should be removed from Co-Conservator of her estate. The motion was filed this past Wednesday at the Los Angeles County Superior Court. This filing comes just days after Britney’s new lawyer, Mathew Rosengart filed his own petition to replace Jamie Spears.
According to legal documents obtained from a court filing on Thursday, Jodi Montgomery and Britney Spears’ doctors both agree that Jamie Spears should be replaced. The replacement would be CPA Jason Rubin, who Spears’ lawyer agrees would be a great choice. With the support of the doctors and Montgomery, this stance should really help Britney’s case.
In the court document, Montgomery states that “Jamie Spears should not continue to act as the Conservatee’s Conservator because his doing so is not in the best interest of [Britney Spears]” The document further notes that the “medical team agrees that it is not in the best interest of the Conservatee for Mr. Spears to remain Conservator.”
If her therapists and doctors confirm that Jamie Spears is harming Britney, then there’s a good shot the judge will remove him from the conservatorship. Having Spears’ medical team on board is a huge step in the right direction.
