Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are embarking on a journey together beyond lifelong commitment to one another as fiancées.
At Mister Paradise in NYC, Katy Perry told the crowd proudly, “’ve been doing a pact with my partner… I’ve been sober for five weeks today.” She made a promise for three months with Bloom, and has no intentions of caving.
She told her fellow ex-American Idol judges Lionel Richie, Ryan Seacrest, and Luke Bryan, “I want to quit,” as a joke, and shed faux tears. But, the “I Kissed a Girl” singer has no intentions of quitting- she made the pact with fiancée Orlando Bloom for three months of sobriety. And, she shared a mocktail recipe with fans using ingredients from her De Soi line that launched in January 2022 in order to ease the absence of alcohol.
Bloom and Perry have opened about their relationship’s ups and downs, and acknowledge their differences with each other. But, they also appreciate the special bond they have despite their different creative energies. Bloom stated, “I think we’re both aware of how blessed we are to have uniquely connected in the way that we did at the time that we did, and there’s definitely never a dull moment.” The family of three (Perry and Bloom share daughter Daisy, 2) is content and evolving- without substances.
