Clad in a black and tan Beach Bunny Swimwear bikini, Victoria’s Secret model Mischaela Elkins poses in the Malibu sun. The 5’10” stunner was in town for a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue event in Los Angeles. Drawing a silk scarf around her to add an element of drama to the photos – she showcased why she was named one of MAXIM Korea’s Top Swimsuit Models of 2022.
Mischaela began her modeling career when she was 1 of 3 models out of 300+ to receive a callback to the agency at the 2009 Elite New Faces modeling contest. From there she’s worked with brands ranging from Victoria’s Secret, La Perla, and Intimissimi to Graff and Van Cleef & Arpels – even appearing on a 20 x 40 billboard in New York’s Times Square for the latter.
The versatile model, often credited in the media as one of the “indigenous supermodels, is no stranger to the luxury swimwear category. She has modeled for Agua Bendita, Luli Fama, Beach Bunny Swimwear, and the Victoria’s Secret Swim line – following in the footsteps of fellow beauty queen turned top model, Irina Shayk.
In Los Angeles, she joined dozens of other top models and rookie hopefuls on the red carpet, or blue carpet as it were, to celebrate the expansion of the SI brand to include the Swimfluence Network and the Pay With Change initiative. The new initiative, driven by Sports Illustrated’s coveted Swimsuit Issue team, is centered around the publication’s new mandate to only work with brands and advertisers that are working towards a more equitable future for women.
