Billie Eilish dressed to the nines in an all-black killer Simone Rocha ensemble, stole the show in her unique choice of designer and interpretation of the 2023 theme (Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty).

She donned a black bustier minidress, sequined all over, complete with sequin tights, black glistening headpieces, and smoky eye makeup to match, making her blue eyes pop. The “Bad Guy” singer completed the look with black platform heels and signature chunky silver rings.

Rocha herself gave a few comments on what it was like to dress the internationally-acclaimed superstar. “I was inspired by Billie herself, her talent, her world, and her powerful femininity… I wanted to celebrate her femininity through fragility and strength. Working with fragile tulle and edging it in lace, interpreting embellishment as armour, and creating a look which reflected an emotion, a very layered piece revealing what lies beneath…” She executed the gown with the vision of Billie’s feminine energy in mind. Considering the songwriter often opts for baggier clothing, the collaboration between Billie and Simone Rocha was destined for success.

Eilish reportedly did not feel sexy at all as a blond, as well as when she shows more skin in her outfit choices. Perhaps the blond, her natural hair color, makes her feel like a fish out of water. Her signature look for over a year was jet black hair with neon green roots, and the blond was a shocking change from the look that she was recognized for for so long. 

Eilish also commented about her blossoming relationship with Jesse Rutherford (31), the lead singer of band The Neighbourhood. On Halloween, she made fun of everyone criticizing their age difference by dressing as a baby and Rutherford dressing as an old man. She reiterated that she is well aware of their age difference, and there is no power dynamic within the relationship that leaves her at a disadvantage.
