Even before Nike made the cut permanently, cofounder and chairman Phil Knight said on a Zoom call with CNBC that the partnership was “likely over.” After posting a link to an antisemitic movie on his Instagram story, the release of the Irving 8 was cancelled and the partnership “suspended.” Now, the tie between the Nets player and the legendary company is gone.

In response, Irving posted a gif on Twitter saying “There is nothing more priceless than being free.” Irving seems to be following the Kanye West train of thought after his contracts with Adidas and Balenciaga were dropped. West said that it was “freeing” to be removed from the Balenciaga website, and claimed that he was trying to get out of his Adidas partnership anyway.

This past year, Lamar has been focused on feeling better and getting in shape. Being 41 years-old and having been hospitalized in 2015, Lamar had noticed his energy levels were not nearly as high as they used to be. Since starting Balance 7, he has seen huge improvements in his overall health and stamina. Lamar now has “an enormous amount of energy which is good for me, it’s important when working out. I always need energy to level-up.” And indeed, he has leveled up!

Lamar trained hard and knocked out Aaron Carter in their celebrity boxing match earlier this month. Thanks to Balance 7, he had the energy and stamina to train and fight as hard as he did. During the interview, Lamar shared some other exciting news. He shared that his friend and former Lakers’ teammate, Pau Gasol owns a professional basketball team in Spain. Lamar revealed that “with getting along in shape and taking Balance 7, I may try to return to professional basketball in Spain, so thank you to Balance 7 and a good work ethic!”

Lamar has turned his life around since his hardship in 2015. He is now in the best shape he has been since the incident. Thanks to Balance 7 and Dr. Nooristani, Lamar in a great place, physically and mentally. He’s taking care of his body, training hard, and he may even get back into professional basketball!
