As Persian hip-hop steadily claims its space on the global stage, few artists have carried the weight of a movement quite like Koorosh Wantons. With millions of streams, a loyal international fanbase, and an uncompromising artistic vision, Koorosh is more than a musician, he’s a cultural force. In this exclusive Eyes on Hollywood interview, we sit down with the Tehran-born rapper ahead of his historic Los Angeles concert on July 12, 2025. From underground rap roots to collaborating with top producers, Koorosh opens up about authenticity, independence, and the emotional journey that’s shaped his sound—and his soul.

Follow along as we explore the man behind the music and why his voice is resonating louder than ever.

Eyes on Hollywood: Koorosh, your L.A. show is just two months away, set for July 12, 2025. How are you feeling about it?

Koorosh: This ain’t just another show, it’s a message. Performing in L.A. as a Persian Iranian artist means our voice is finally being heard worldwide. It’s the payoff for years of grinding, finding my sound, and staying true to the power of music.

Eyes on Hollywood: You came up in Tehran’s underground rap scene, and now you’re working with big-name producers. How did that shift happen?

Koorosh: It all started with a dream, but it took real hustle and consistency to keep it going. I always tried to make music that could stand next to anything out there, worldwide. Once you’re in the room with top-tier producers like Scott Storch, the bar gets higher you gotta level up. There’s no room for average anymore.

Eyes on Hollywood: Your fan base started in Iran, but now it’s worldwide. How did that growth happen?

Koorosh: Just by keeping it real. I never pretended to be something I’m not. I rapped about my life moving countries, feeling alone, being angry, falling in love. That kind of truth hits people, no matter where they’re from. Emotions speak louder than language.

Eyes on Hollywood: What should fans expect from your upcoming L.A. show?

Koorosh: This isn’t just a regular concert . I’m teaming up with some serious talent top musicians, dope stage designers. It’s gonna be a mix of the tracks people already love and some new unreleased stuff. The visuals, the lighting, the whole vibe it’s all gonna be on an international level.

Eyes on Hollywood: Your sound mixes rap, trap, pop, and even cinematic vibes. How did that come together?

Koorosh: I never boxed myself into one style. For me, it’s all about the feeling. Sometimes the track needs a scream, sometimes just a whisper. That range comes from living through a lot, listening to all kinds of music, and working with producers who aren’t afraid to experiment.

Eyes on Hollywood: You’ve worked with artists outside of Iran. How do they respond to your Persian lyrics and sound?

Koorosh: Most of them are honestly surprised in a good way. When I break down the lyrics, they’re like, “Man, this feels more like poetry than just rap.” That means a lot to me. It proves that Persian has real storytelling power, even on a global stage.

Eyes on Hollywood:
You’ve kicked off a world tour. How’s the crowd been reacting?

Koorosh: Way beyond what I expected. From Istanbul to Atlanta, San Francisco to Dubai the crowd’s been a mix of Persian speakers and folks who don’t understand a single word. And that just proves it: music isn’t about language, it’s about energy. If it’s real, people feel it.

Eyes on Hollywood: What’s been the most emotional moment for you on this journey?

Koorosh: After a show in Dubai, a mother and daughter came backstage and told me my music helped them reconnect. That hit deep. It reminded me that music isn’t just about sound it can actually heal people.

Eyes on Hollywood: The global music scene is tough. Why have you chosen to stay independent?

Koorosh: Being independent gives me full creative control. I don’t have to water anything down or fit into someone else’s box. I’ve got a small team that fully gets the vision. I’m not waiting on the industry I’m building my own lane.

Eyes on Hollywood: Have you gotten offers to dive into fashion or film?

Koorosh: Yeah, especially in fashion and film scores. But I only take on things that feel genuine to me. Authenticity is key. Right now, I’m all about the music, but who knows what the future holds.

Eyes on Hollywood: In one sentence, who is Koorosh in 2025?

Koorosh: I’m an independent voice from Tehran, connecting with hearts worldwide through my own language and sound.

Sundays often bring that mix of rest and anticipation. It’s the perfect day to reset, reflect, and set intentions for the week ahead. With a few simple rituals, you can turn your Sunday into a grounding experience that boosts your mood and productivity long after the weekend ends.

Start by sleeping in just a little enough to feel rested, but not groggy. Begin your day slowly with a cozy breakfast or morning coffee ritual. Whether it’s journaling, stretching, or lighting a candle while you sip tea, create a moment of peace before the noise of the week begins.

Midday is a great time to tackle light tasks that bring you peace of mind, laundry, tidying up, or prepping meals. Play your favorite playlist, open the windows, and make it feel less like a chore and more like a gift to your future self.

Try blocking off time for a “Sunday soak” or face mask session, something that helps you unwind and reconnect with your body. Bonus points if you pair it with a good book or podcast.

And don’t forget to review your calendar. Looking ahead with intention can ease anxiety and help you spot moments to rest or recharge during your week.

If you love this idea of slow, intentional living, check out our article “Self-Care Sundays: How to Recharge for the Week Ahead” for more inspiration.

A well-spent Sunday isn’t about being productive it’s about feeling prepared, supported, and at peace with what’s to come.

In a night filled with deep emotion, reflection, and artistic unity, over 300 individuals came together at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles to witness The Art of Healing: Piecing Ourselves Back Together Again. Hosted by the non-profit Mental Health IsReal (MHI), the event marked the official debut of the Global Healing Blanket, a global initiative that intertwines art, identity, and resilience to foster healing across the world.

Mental Health IsReal: A Movement of Connection and Healing

Mental Health IsReal, founded by mindset coach and motivational speaker Rona Lalezary, arose in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks, growing into a worldwide movement committed to mental wellness. With a focus on community-centered healing, creative expression, and therapeutic technology, the organization has quickly made its mark on the global stage.

The evening drew a diverse group of attendees, including community members, survivors, families, and prominent public figures who use their voices to encourage healing. Special guests included Sharon Osbourne, Guns N’ Roses’ Gilby Clarke, Daniella Clarke, film producer Howard Rosenman, And Just Like That producer Chris Collins, Debbie Peiser, Joy Sirott Hurwitz, and Tal Navarro.

Art and Sound as Pathways to Healing

Guests participated in a powerful evening, moving between reflective storytelling stations and hands-on creative spaces where they designed art squares infused with personal emotions. Notable survivors and activists, including Lee Sasi and Eli Landau, along with artist Tomer Peretz and Rona Lalezary, shared messages of resilience aimed at younger generations. The evening’s culmination came with an EMDR sound therapy session, using Biotunes headphones and soothing guided audio to help everyone experience the power of creative healing.

A Child’s Insight Shines Through

One of the most poignant moments of the event came from a 7-year-old participant who, after completing her art square, said:

“When I help somebody, it helps me. When other people help me, it helps them. So, we all feel better by helping.”

Stitching a New Future Together

Mental Health IsReal is working to transform how Jewish communities approach emotional wellness through initiatives like the Global Healing Blanket. This project represents more than just fabric and thread it is a powerful symbol of connection and resilience that grows stronger with every participant.

A New Narrative: From Pain to Empowerment

This event marked a significant shift in the narrative for the Jewish community, moving from a story of victimhood to one of hope and empowerment. Instead of dwelling on past trauma, The Art of Healing emphasized the importance of rebuilding through creativity, light, and unity. With the Global Healing Blanket, Mental Health IsReal is providing communities with a unique way to process trauma while forging meaningful connections.

“Through my work I have seen this universal truth: the very same space that houses our greatest pain houses our greatest power. This is true both individually and collectively. And this quilt we are launching today is the catalyst where, as a nation and a global community, we move from pain to power, from being victims to becoming survivors, and from surviving to thriving.”

Rob Mitchell is the solo project of Maryland composer, singer, songwriter, record producer, and technician. Rob’s unlimited versatility in the music realm has allowed him to create a repertoire of original sounds. The eclectic depth of Rob’s full catalogue defies expectations and continues to push the boundaries of contemporary audio escapism.

Rob Mitchell began songwriting after graduating high school. In the late ‘90s, he launched Deep Transit as a name project to explore his unique sound. His musical style is rooted in the rich textures of the ’80s and ’90s, drawing influence from dance music, house, R&B, hip-hop, and electronic dance music. With a natural flair for crafting radio-ready tracks, Rob channels his passion for music into every beat and lyric.

Music became a vital part of Rob’s life early on. He played trumpet in his middle and high school band, which had a strong sense of camaraderie with 30 members. After high school, Rob discovered a deeper connection with the piano and dabbled in classical guitar. He pursued formal music education at Montgomery College, where he studied piano and music theory and performed with the college chorus. He also continued his piano studies at Music & Arts Center in Rockville, MD.

While his academic path began in liberal arts—exploring social sciences, fine arts, and even political theory—Rob found himself drawn to audio and video production. He studied sound design and editing at Montgomery Cable TV, developing a strong multimedia skill set. He also honed his public speaking skills with Toastmasters, earning “Speaker of the Month” twice.

A lifelong researcher and audio enthusiast, Rob enjoys working with stereo components, receivers, amplifiers, and sound systems. His lyrics often reflect positive, uplifting messages paired with high-energy, engaging production. Over the years, Rob collaborated with numerous musicians and engineers on early projects before taking a brief hiatus in the early 2000s.

In 2003, Rob founded RM Music Production, his home studio and independent record label. In 2016, he released his third LP, A Brilliant Skyline Across Major Cities, featuring the #1 hit “The Groove of Life.”

Now, under the moniker Deep Transit, Rob Mitchell is offering a new creative wave and breaking barriers in the music industry. His most recent singles, including “Faith,” “Liberate,” and “Step It Up,” showcase his unique blend of dance, hip-hop, R&B, and electronic influences—always with a poetic lyrical touch. With each release, Deep Transit bridges the gap between nostalgia and innovation, proving himself to be a powerful voice in today’s music scene.

Filmed live at the Broadwater Theater in Hollywood, Jennifer Gable’s debut comedy special is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud hour that spans everything from politics and pop culture to dating, sobriety, and her own colorful life experiences.  This special is distributed by Comedy Dynamics, known for collaborating with both emerging and established comedic talents.

With a unique comedic voice honed over 10 years performing across the U.S. and internationally, Jennifer delivers a blend of clever one-liners, sharp political commentary, relatable personal stories, and clean-to-edgy humor that appeals to all ages and backgrounds. Known for her non-stop joke-writing talent and razor-sharp delivery, Jennifer’s material has earned rave reviews from audiences everywhere!

Originally from the D.C. area, Jennifer grew up an imaginative only child, sharpening her storytelling skills with her stuffed animals as her first audience. Today, she’s headlined in cities like London, Los Angeles, D.C., Reno, Santa Barbara, and San Diego, and performed in top comedy venues including The Laugh Factory, Improv, The Stand, Comedy Store, and clubs across NYC, L.A., and Vegas.  Jennifer has been featured on the Discovery Channel, Sirius XM, Kevin Hart’s LOL Network, the Kill Tony podcast, and a ComedyTime taping. She’s also appeared in several indie films and television pilots—including the original pilot for Chopped (fittingly, as a devoted foodie). Ranked #154 on Vulture’s Top 1,000 Comedians of 2020, she’s a SAG-AFTRA member and part of the Ladies of Comedy Association.

A third-level UCB alum and Groundlings-trained improviser, Jennifer is also an award-winning filmmaker (HollyShorts Film Festival) and scriptwriter. She’s gone viral on Twitter, hosts The Attention Harlot Podcast alongside other top-tier comedians, and is a popular guest on podcasts and stages alike. She regularly performs at the Hollywood Improv, Laugh Factory, corporate events, virtual shows worldwide, and even roasts people at birthday party events.  Jennifer opened for Bonnie McFarlane, the great Comedian and Emmy writer.  She most recently performed in her first big theater with live music with Marc Maron.  And performed at the Hollywood Improv main stage.  Jennifer doesn’t call herself a political comedian—she roasts all sides equally—and her comedy is always fresh, fearless, and funny.

“I lived in NYC for 1 year and really enjoyed performing Stand-up consistently in NYC & online zoom Shows – Stand Up for over 10 years.  Anytime an artist has the opportunity to Produce their own content, it can open a lot more doors.  I shot on Reds for a drama short film I made, ’13 steps’ that won an award in HollyShorts Film Festival.  For this Special I decided to use the new black magic cinema cameras.   It’s great Comedians can shoot their own Specials now to have more creative control and I’m going to edit my own videos now moving forward so I have even more control.”

“It’s great clips can be uploaded across social media platforms to reach bigger audiences!  And then you can sell your Special to a bigger production company like ‘Comedy Dynamics or ‘800 Pound Gorilla’ who can then help you distribute farther onto more streaming platforms,” exclaims Jennifer.

“I’m grateful that a lot of people that have watched my Special have really enjoyed it.  Fans in North Carolina even had a watch party with surround sound speakers in their home theater and they said they felt like they were really there LIVE.  I enjoy connecting with fans and want to tour more again soon.  I wanted it to have a A24 LIVE interactive feel and I think I achieved that.  Audiences will be very honest too online so Comedians can’t just put anything up online.  It takes years to develop good material, get stage presence and find your voice.   I think audiences are already starting to get tired of seeing just crowd work now and that fad will start to fade out again.  I wanted to talk about a variety of topics that everyone can relate to.   I’m going to talk about getting divorced and some more political humor and crowd work in this next one.” -Jennifer Gable

Her 2nd Special is being shot this Summer in a different Theater in Santa Monica.  “The next one will be shot on Arri Alexa cameras with a lighter, brighter feel” says Jennifer.

She plans on touring more major cities again after these 2 Specials are streaming on Networks.  Sign up on her website JenniferGableOfficial.com for touring LIVE Show dates.

She is looking forward to collaborating with more professional artists in the near future. And has a web-series she shot steaming online called ‘Pennies for Your Thoughts.’  The series is about artists trying to make it in Hollywood.  She will begin pitching it again soon to spin into a TV series.  She has been sober most of her adult life and wants to give back to more people struggling with addiction with her Non-Profit.

“It’s a crazy time in the world and a lot of people need to laugh right now.  You can buy views as you want as a Comedian ad it’s easier to go viral and get attention, but you can’t buy the internet audiences approval.  You still have to put in the work and be great at your craft.” says Jennifer.

She is repped commercially by Adam Lieblein & will dedicate her 2nd Special to Randall Edwards, of Catalyst Talent, one of her recent longest running Agents in Atlanta who passed away last year.

Actress Katricia Coco Kariuki has completed yet another production that has led to great recognition in the film industry.”Original Killing” plunges into the complex dynamics of love, loyalty, and the extreme measures one might take to protect a loved one. The drama that was filmed in Los Angeles, California, features the voices of Hollywood actress Katricia “Coco” Kariuki as Katlego and actress Paige Olivia as Ray, portraying two lifelong friends entangled in a web of violence and consequence.

When Love and Loyalty Cross the Line

The film centers on Katlego, a young woman trapped in a brutal cycle of abuse. Despite the pain, she remains tethered to the relationship, always finding a reason to stay. Her best friend, Paige, a silent witness to years of suffering, reaches her breaking point. Driven by desperation, she commits an irreversible act of justice, killing Katlego’s abuser.

However, the act of violence unleashes a torrent of consequences. As the weight of their actions bears down on them, the lines between victim, savior, and perpetrator become increasingly blurred. Is this a true act of liberation for Katlego or has she simply exchanged one prison for another? “Original Killing” dares to question the true cost of loyalty and the ambiguous nature of justice.

Adam Peltier: From Paper Boxes to Thought-Provoking Cinema

“Original Killing” is directed by Adam Peltier and Sam Morgan. Adam Peltier, in particular, has gained attention for his unique directorial style. A West Point dropout and former paper box factory employee, Peltier’s journey into filmmaking has been anything but conventional. Film Festival Buzz: Over 10+ Award Wins!

“Original Killing” has been rising in film festivals with numerous awards, including at the Makizhmithran International Film Festival, winning Best Social Awareness Film and Best Supporting Actress. The film continued to gain attention at the TAMIZHAGAM INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL with wins including a Special Mention Award and Best Experimental Short Film. The Kollywood International Film Festival honored “Original Killings” with a Special Jury Award and Best Experimental Short!

We often think life has to be exciting or glamorous to be fulfilling but the real magic is in the ordinary moments. When you romanticize your life, you turn everyday routines into something beautiful and intentional.

Start with your mornings. Instead of rushing through them, try lighting a candle, playing soft music, or sipping your coffee from your favorite mug while watching the sunrise. Add beauty to your routine by dressing in something that makes you feel good even if you’re not leaving the house.

Next, embrace little pleasures. Walk instead of drive when you can. Take the scenic route. Carry a book or notebook with you. Notice the details: the sound of leaves, the warmth of the sun, or how good fresh sheets feel after a long day.

Even chores can feel better with the right mindset. Play a playlist while cleaning. Pour a glass of wine while cooking dinner. Let these moments be about joy, not just productivity.

And don’t wait for a special occasion to enjoy the things you love buy yourself flowers, wear perfume just because, or make your favorite dessert on a random Tuesday.

If this spoke to you, you’ll love our previous piece on “Little Luxuries That Make Life Sweeter.

Romanticizing your life doesn’t mean being unrealistic. It means choosing to see the beauty in what you already have.

When it comes to making interior design feel glamorous, fun, and just the right amount of cheeky, no one does it quite like Tracy Metro. The design maven, TV personality, and self-professed “queen of color” brought her signature pop-art-meets-Prada aesthetic to a glittering West Hollywood affair on Wednesday night to celebrate the launch of her wildly inventive new book, design by STICKER.

Dubbed the “Sip n’ Stick” party, the invite-only event unfolded in the design district of West Hollywood at the luxurious location of Cosentino City Los Angeles. An inspired space for designers and architects alike, the showroom provided the ultimate setting for Metro’s exclusive gathering. Guests from the design, fashion and film communities came together to celebrate Metro’s new book, enjoying curated cocktails, bubbly generously sponsored by Freixenet, and delicious catered bites, elevating the evening’s already chic vibe.

Tracy Metro, whose vibrant sensibility is best known to global audiences from her hit show House Doctor on Netflix and Channel 5 UK, was a radiant host in her skin tight royal green latex dress—complete with her signature red lipstick. “This book is my love letter to people who love interiors but are too afraid to knock down a wall,” Metro told the crowd as she raised a toast. “design by STICKER lets you explore your style without a budget, a contractor, or any real-world consequences. It’s design fantasy at your fingertips.”

The book itself is a fully interactive design experience, featuring 15 beautifully illustrated, blank-room vignettes—everything from a boho-chic loft to a minimalist kitchen. Readers are invited to fill the spaces with over 500 removable stickers that include everything from tufted velvet sofas and dramatic chandeliers to shag rugs and statement wallpaper. Think of it as adult coloring book meets Pinterest dream board—with serious style.

For Metro, the night was more than a book launch. It was a celebration of what she calls “low-stakes, high-style creativity.” In a town where perfection often overshadows play, design by STICKER offers a refreshingly hands-on alternative. “Everyone here is a designer tonight,” she said, “and you don’t need a license—just a good eye and a sense of fun. Let’s play!”

By the end of the evening, it was clear: the Sip n’ Stick party was a hit—and design by STICKER is poised to be the next big thing on coffee tables, dorm desks, and design studios alike. Leave it to Tracy Metro to turn a humble sticker book into a full-blown Hollywood happening.

“We knew we had something special when we sold out week after week,” says Vivian Ho, who co-founded the 12,000-square-foot concept with her husband, Ken. “But we never imagined becoming the ‘Erewhon of indoor playgrounds.’”

Part café, part Montessori-style wonderland, and part parent sanctuary, Kids & Coffee was born during COVID, when Vivian and Ken struggled to find a space that supported both their toddler and their own needs. “We designed the space and the experience of Kids & Coffee to tackle these issues head-on,” she explains, “by providing children with an enriching play environment AND offering caregivers a space to connect and recharge.”

And that’s exactly what it does. From a curated playlist to award-winning local coffee and private adult lounges, this is not your average playroom. “We figured if parents find the space beautiful and calming, they’ll want to spend more time here, which means more play opportunities for the little ones!” she adds.

The vibe? Scandinavian-chic meets sensory play—designed with intention from every angle. “We wanted to break away from the primary-colored plastic jungle that’s become the norm for kids’ spaces,” Vivian says. “Why can’t a place be beautiful AND functional for families?”

The buzz is so strong, you might sip your macchiato next to an A-list actor and not even know it. “We’d unknowingly have these completely normal conversations with some very high-profile parents about toddler tantrums and potty training struggles—you know, the real stuff everyone deals with,” Vivian laughs. “Then later someone would mention, ‘Do you know who that was?’”

But star-studded status aside, Kids & Coffee has never been about exclusivity—it’s about creating genuine community. “Whether you’re a famous athlete or a regular neighborhood mom or dad, we’re all experiencing those same universal moments,” she says.

Community-building is central to the experience. “The real magic happens in those unplanned moments—when parents realize they’re not alone in their struggles, when they exchange numbers to set up playdates,” Vivian says. “We’ve seen beautiful friendships form between families who might never have connected otherwise.”

Programming includes everything from hip-hop ballet fusion for toddlers to camps with weekly themes like Superhero and Under the Sea. “Our camps have been a game-changer for parents struggling to find activities when school is out,” Vivian says.

For now, the team is focused on perfecting their flagship location—but expansion is on the table. “We’re definitely dreaming big while trying to stay grounded,” she shares.

Still, it’s not the hype or Hollywood that makes this place magical. It’s the everyday memories. “One particularly touching example was a little girl who, after finishing her very first dance class, excitedly showed us her moves—and then asked if she could show us again,” Vivian recalls. “These moments of belonging and support—that’s the real success of Kids & Coffee.”
