Lorelei Lanford: The Multi-Talented Trailblazer Making Waves in Film

by eyesonhollywood
Born into a family brimming with artistic brilliance, Lorelei Lanford’s creative destiny was practically written in the stars. Her roots trace back to Belgium, where her grandparents graced the Royal Theatre in Brussels, and her father, Guy Bodart, made a name as a visionary film director. Her mother, Chantal di Bastini, added a touch of couture flair as a renowned fashion designer.

Lorelei’s artistic journey began early—first as a dancer, where she performed across Europe and beyond with her Royal Tahitian Dance Troupe. By her teenage years, she’d already earned accolades like “Best Dancer” in the 1980s. But it wasn’t long before the allure of Hollywood pulled her toward the silver screen.

Starting as a 1st assistant director on her father’s films, Lorelei learned the ropes of filmmaking from the inside out. Today, she’s not just in the game—she’s redefining it. With two horror flicks in the works, she’s bringing her bold, creative vision to life. Dead of Night pays homage to the slasher films of the ’80s, dripping with nostalgia and adrenaline. Meanwhile, Ligeia—a dark, original tale starring Tonya Todd and Tim Colceri (Full Metal Jacket)—takes gothic storytelling to thrilling new heights.

Lorelei’s love for vintage cinema is front and center in Countess Dracula (working title), her own twist on vampire lore. Inspired by the eerie aesthetic of classic Hammer Films, she’s determined to give audiences the same goosebumps she experienced growing up.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there—Lorelei’s just signed a three-film deal for 2026, including her first-ever rom-com. For someone known for horror and suspense, it’s a bold pivot, but Lorelei’s ready to embrace the challenge.

On a personal note, Lorelei has her sights set on a passion project close to her heart: a biopic about her great-uncle, a heroic WWII RAF pilot. “His story is incredible,” she shares. “I want the world to know about his bravery.” And her dream casting? None other than Leonardo DiCaprio.

Now CEO of IFA Pictures and based in Las Vegas, Lorelei is all about leaving her mark on the industry. Whether it’s through spine-chilling horror, heartfelt rom-coms, or cinematic nostalgia, one thing’s for sure—Lorelei Lanford is a force to watch.
