Australian-born model and actor Nathan Mander is quietly carving out a place for himself in Hollywood through discipline, sacrifice, and an unwavering commitment to the dream he nearly abandoned years ago.
Now based in Los Angeles, Nathan’s path into the entertainment industry has been anything but traditional. While many aspiring actors and models arrive in Hollywood in their early twenties ready to chase fame, Nathan’s story is rooted in resilience, personal battles, and a second chance he fought hard to create for himself.

“I was actually scouted for modeling when I was 22,” Nathan shares. “But around that time I fell into a really deep depression and stepped away from everything for a long time.”
For more than a decade, Nathan quietly battled through some of the most difficult years of his life while still holding onto the dream of one day returning to the entertainment world. Eventually, he reached a turning point that changed the direction of his future completely.
“I realised I couldn’t let fear or my past control the rest of my life,” he says. “I decided to give it one more shot and fully commit.”
That decision became the foundation of an entirely new chapter.
After returning to modeling professionally, Nathan quickly began building momentum in Australia before eventually making the leap to Los Angeles just five years after re-signing with agencies.
“It still feels surreal sometimes,” he admits. “To go from being in such a dark place mentally to living in Los Angeles and pursuing acting and modeling full time is something I never take for granted.”
Before relocating to the United States, Nathan had already established himself as a successful entrepreneur in Australia, owning multiple Anytime Fitness gym locations. One gym in particular held deep emotional significance for him.
“One of the gyms I owned for 11 years was my baby,” he says. “Selling it to move to America was honestly one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever made, but I knew if I wanted to chase this dream properly, I had to go all in.”

That “all in” mentality now defines Nathan’s everyday life in Hollywood.
Rather than embracing the stereotypical Los Angeles party scene, Nathan keeps his routine focused almost entirely on work, fitness, and preparation. His days are built around training, castings, self tapes, runway preparation, and film projects.
“I’m on my mission every single day,” he says. “I sacrificed too much to get here. Failing is not an option for me.”
That level of commitment is already opening major doors in both fashion and entertainment.

Nathan recently appeared at the prestigious Cannes Fashion Festival, walking the runway with LA Fashion Closet at the iconic Carlton Beach Club in Cannes.
“It was an incredible experience,” he says. “Standing there in Cannes representing Los Angeles while thinking about where I started from was a pretty emotional moment.”
Nathan has also become one of the faces of Cosmo & Donato, appearing in multiple campaigns and runway presentations throughout Los Angeles. The collaboration has helped strengthen his growing reputation within the fashion industry while aligning naturally with his polished image and disciplined lifestyle.
Alongside fashion, Nathan continues expanding his presence within the fitness space through commercial campaigns and partnerships. Fitness remains one of the central pillars of both his personal life and professional identity.
“Fitness keeps me mentally strong, disciplined, focused, and always ready to work,” he explains. “Whether it’s a campaign, runway, audition, or film role, I want to always be prepared.”
Coming from a background of gym ownership, Nathan approaches his physical training with the same level of consistency and professionalism athletes apply to their careers.
“You never know when the next opportunity is coming, so I stay ready every day,” he says.
While modeling continues to create international opportunities, acting has become an equally important focus for Nathan. He is currently preparing to return to Australia this June to star in an upcoming feature film, marking another major milestone in his evolving career.
“Acting challenges me creatively in a completely different way,” he says. “I love storytelling and becoming different characters. Every role teaches me something.”
Despite embracing life in America, Nathan says there are still parts of Australia he misses deeply, especially his family and Australian Rules football.
“One of the things I missed most besides family was footy,” he laughs.
To stay connected to home while building his future abroad, Nathan now plays for the LA Dragons in Los Angeles.
Outside of work, Nathan intentionally maintains a low profile, keeping a small circle of close friends and avoiding distractions that could take focus away from his long-term goals.
“I don’t really socialise a whole heap,” he says. “This industry moves fast and I want to be prepared whenever opportunity comes.”
After overcoming depression, rebuilding his life from the ground up, walking runways in Cannes, starring in campaigns, training in Hollywood, and preparing for feature films, Nathan Mander’s story is becoming one of resilience, reinvention, and relentless determination.

“After being in Los Angeles for two years now,” Nathan says, “I finally feel like everything’s starting to fall into place.”
